SiSoftware Sandra Lite: Free Computer Benchmarking
(Credit: sisoftware) |
Why? The Price engine enhances the user's experience by providing product pictures and additional specifications - as well as the the latest price. It enables the calculation of important metrics like Performance vs. Price and Capacity vs. Price (for storage media) which are extremely useful when making comparisons. All this is done automatically rather than manually searching for pricing in stores.

Recover Deleted Files with PhotoRec
You can try PartedMagic LiveCD to recover the files (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, jpg, jpeg, etc.) that have been accidentally deleted or on-delete in the media hard drive / external, usb flash disk (UFD), cdrw, dvdrw, MMC, SD Card, etc. Despite displays text only, but his ability is very powerful.
Recover Lost Partitions With TestDisk
First always use Partition Magic under Windows XP, but now I used to manage hard drive using GParted (in PartedMagic or PuppyLinux - Thanks so much for Barry Kauler: "I have not found any other linux distro very mini, very useful, up to date , and directly barking, besides PuppyLinux ") to partition the new hard drive, resize partition that is narrow, and backup/copy partitions.

WLAN Adapter PCI DLink DWA 525 on Ubuntu 10.04
Last few months ago we purchased this adapter DLink DWA 525, 7 pieces with a higher price than TP Link, to test students' competence. We hope that with a higher price, it can be high quality and easily to be installed but unfortunately an adapter can not be directly detected properly by Ubuntu 10.04 (LTS). Finally it could be installed properly after visiting the ubuntu forums.
