Apparently this chipset Atheros WLAN adapter. Madwifi driver in linux is ath5k. While visiting the ubuntu forums it is'nt seem to be directly detected. There are several steps that must be done.
But yesterday I installed in ubuntu 10.04 turned out to be detected properly.
Revised: until now 2 months later, this device is still working properly.
